All news →GTA VI on Switch 2? Insiders claim a port is in the works — for 2027
Two insiders are pushing a Nintendo Switch 2 version of GTA VI. Nash Weedle claims it is actively in development via subcontracted specialist studios and that the technical hurdles have been cleared; Nick Baker frames it more cautiously as Nintendo still being early in talks with Rockstar and Take-Two. Neither Rockstar nor Nintendo has confirmed anything, and Take-Two has only said it supports Switch 2 when it aligns with strategy. If a port happens it would be 2027 at the earliest — not at the November 19 launch. Mahnis take: plausible in the long run (GTA V ended up on everything), but right now it is insider chatter with no official backing and two accounts that do not fully agree.
“An Extended Look” — 27 minutes of GTA VI gameplay
Rockstar’s first real gameplay showcase: ~27 minutes, in-game on a base PS5 at 30 FPS. It confirmed the Focus system (slow-mo targeting), a six-star wanted system with cops that read your clothes and car, walk-in interiors with no loading, free character switching, and a context-aware “Criminal Profile” system. Premiered on Netflix — 31M views in four days, #1 in 87 of 93 countries. Mahnis’s full shot-by-shot breakdown is in Videos.
Group “Cyberleek” posts GTA VI gameplay clips and an alleged full map
Starting 18 Aug, a group calling itself Cyberleek released ~1-minute gameplay clips (Jason shooting hoops with a “focus” meter, a highway drive into a brawl, and on 24 Aug a nudist-colony clip) plus screenshots and an alleged overhead map of Leonida labelling five counties. It’s framed as a protest against digital-only distribution and the watermarks carry a memecoin. Rockstar has filed DMCA takedowns and made no public statement. The footage looks real; the map is unverified. Full breakdown in the Leak Radar.
